Annual plan control

One of the four types of marketing control system, needed by the companies to evaluate their marketing effort. Its aim is to ensure that the company achieves the sales, profit and other goals established in the beginning of the year. The prime responsibility of annual plan control is of top management and middle management.

Profitability control

Besides annual-plan control companies need to measure the profitability of their various products, territories, customer groups, trade channels and orders sizes. This information will help management determine whether any products of marketing activites should be expanded, reduced or eliminated.

I would implement strategic control, which involves looking at whether strategies are well matched with opportunities. I would use the marketing audit tool to examine the company's environment, objectives, strategies, and activities and to take any correction action that would be necessary. And finally I would try to deliver orders on time, so that they are not refused....

hat kinds of control procedures would you establish for this strategy?

Problems :

1)For example, one national retailer had placed a large order with instructions that Trap-Ease America was to deliver the order to the loading dock at one of the retailer's warehouses between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. on a specified day. When the truck delivering the order arrived after 3:00 p.m., the retailer had refused to accept the shipment. The retailer had told Martha it would be a year before she got another chance.

2) she had noted that many of the retailers upon whom she called kept their sample mousetraps on their desks as conversation pieces--she wanted the traps to be used and demonstrated.

Control.

The Trap-Ease America will strictly monitor customer service satisfaction and control the time of delivering the orders to retailers, especially to docks.

The company will also control that sample mousetraps are used by retailers to demonstrate them to consumers.

We think that company needs strategic control because strategic Control :
