Structure, tone colour, texture, dynamics and expressive techniques, also all play a great importance in music during this period. This can be clearly seen from three different works written at different times during the period being studied, the Fourth Movement of Giuseppe Tartini's Concertino arranged for clarinet and piano by Gordon Jacob, the First Movement of Mozart's Clarinet Concerto and Johannes Brahms' Sonata No. 1 for clarinet and piano, First Movement.
