Negotiation is very common in our daily lives, studies have shown that most people begin negotiating at a very early age and that brings up the question of what is negotiation. When we are young we don't realize that when we cry for food or sickness we actually perform negotiation with our parents, likewise, we get quiet if we got what we want. This is proven through daily practices, observations and researches. Although it can't be reliable as an argument but it's a point of view which have the probability in being right or wrong.
Negotiation practices is a human nature, long time ago the Human race utilized negotiation in purchasing goods or trade them, the negotiation relates to have the affordable or reasonable price.
Most of us deals with negotiation on regular basis, maybe in the states is more on high level deals, but in third world countries, basically on groceries, services such as plumping, cleaning, electricity fixing etc.... especially when the skilled worker doesn't put a price range on his service. Effective negotiation with coworkers, superiors, and business associates is a critical success factor in today's global workplace (Taylor, Mesmer-Magnus, and Burns, 2008). Learning to apply basic negotiation skills can help you navigate through the challenges and discover options that are acceptable by all parties. According to Michael A. Wheeler (2006), many of the negotiation skills and strategies necessary for successful contract negotiation can be improved through study and practice. A poor negotiator can be taught skills that will improve negotiation performance.
