NIGHTESSAY-Dehumanization- ELiezer and the other Jews went through a lot of horribly things in their lives, they say awful things. The Nazis didn't care one bit about the Jews, they acted like they were just a pieces of dirt. The Jews lives were destroyed and over for most of them. When ELie, his father and the others Jew's got transported they all cram into cattle cars, they only got a pail of water and a small bag of bread. They were all scared and didn't know what was going to happen to them. Then this lady Madame Schacter went out of control, and started yelling she saw fire. But when everyone looked over to where she was pointing to there was no fire. When they first got there the Nazis would slip the families up by gender, how old they were, and what they could do for work, most likely to never see each other again. Elie say a lot of gross and unpleasant things in his life in those camps. He watched babies being thrown up in the air and getting shot by the Nazis, probably for shooting practice. He even watched young kids, teens and adults being pushed in a pit of fire. Elie watched his mother and sister get slip up between him and his father, not knowing if he would ever see them again. The Jews would kill each just to get a good pair of shoes, or even a golden tooth, because the Nazis would give them food or some sort if he Jews gave it to them. The Jews did work around the camps, and once the Jews got hurt, or old and couldn't do the work anymore they got executed. They made you sound like you were going crazy, and just trying to get attention, we had no idea that such a horribly thing could had to anyone of us. The Nazis made us feel worthless, lumps of dirt. You're very lucky you got out of there, when you did. My life and everyone else was ruined, the moment we put on foot on that camp ground. I saw awful things while I was in those camps. You couldn't even imagine what they did to all those people, and some were so young to even understand what was going on. I saw babies being thrown up the air and getting shoot, adults, teens, and young kids being pushed or shoot in the head to fall in a pit of burning hot fire. I even watched my father get beaten and I just stared knowing I couldn't help him or do anything about. When I first got to the camps, my mother and sister had to go to a different part of the camp, with all the other women, young kids, and girls. I remember when you would teach me all about Kabbalah we'd talk about it for hours. I hope you are doing a lot better after that experience. **Angela's
