I chose to write about Noah, because he was a man who obeyed God in the midst
of immorality that was going on around him. He was a man who was made perfect by
God; in Genesis 9, we find that Noah was a drunk, and that was reportedly his only sin.
He reminds me of people that are in the world today that are striving to do the right thing; but are met at times with obstacles. God is letting us know that He can take anyone (he/she) and use them as part of His ministry.
Noah was a righteous man who lived among evil and corruption, and not only that he was the only one left on the earth that followed God. During the life and time of Noah, he lived in a world that was filled with sin and he was the only man left that pleased God.
"Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord" (Genesis 6:8, Quest) Noah was not the only example of people who lived righteous during the time of unrighteousness. Abraham, Moses, Jeremiah, Daniel, Paul, and Silas, also were righteous people who lived during unrighteous times. (Hebrew 11:7, Quest) Because Noah had obeyed God's commandments, God spared his life and his family from the flood.
Genesis 6:22 says, Noah did everything just as God commanded him. (Quest) Noah continuously showed his obedience to God, he obeyed every commanded that God commanded. He was a man of great faith, grace, and obedience. Noah's story should remind us that we must be obedient to God and follow His commandments.

If God could bless and save Noah, then this lets us know that we also can be blessed and saved. All we have to do is have the same faith and trust in God that Noah displayed. If God did it back then, He can do it again for us today.
Our obedience to God must be lived out over our lifetime, but it must be done with faithfulness to God. I can just imagine the looks on the people faces when Noah began to build his ark. Like the people in the world today, they probably were saying, "Why is he building the
