There are 11 million undocumented immigrants in the United Stated. Those immigrants have their reasons of why they come here to the United State. There are women, men and children of all ages that come here to the United States for a better life. Usually, children do not have a choice, but for the adults they do. Mostly understanding they leave their country for a new country. They have a lot of risk by getting here and being here. For whatever the reason is, they are here, most likely stayed and respect this country as their own. Those who did do not may have gotten deportation or just left back to their country.
About three years ago, Obama has offered temporary permission for those undocumented immigrants that had been in the United States as children to stay in the United States. The program was called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). Not every immigrant where able to apply for this benefit, they had some terms to be eligible for DACA: you had come to the United Stated before your sixteen birthday, not have a lawful immigration status, be at least fifteen years old to thirty year old to apply. Obama did this for so many reason, he is able to help a lot of immigrants with their dreams. They might not have been born here but there were raised here and see this country as their own. There is a lot of good benefits for those children that apply. They could become more freely, especially because they were not born there and they have temporary pass.
Last year in November, President Obama had said there might be a temporary permission for parents that have U.S citizens or permanent residents who resided in the country for at least five years. This could also help a lot of immigrants from being deportation, but there are some requires as well before applying for this programs. This program would be familiar like DACA. Parents would be able to get temporary license and work permits as through like in DACA. They plan to help millions of thousands people just as like those in DACA. The application should start sometime this spring or summer. Most immigrant are looking forward to it, because they would get good beneficial from the program. Also, immigrant gain protection from deportation and those what would be unprotected because they have a felony or more.
I recognize how immigrant people think, they might have a possible to get a better lifestyle in this country or how it could get worst. Many immigrant parent might be happy and some might be scared because there not sure of what would happened, if they apply. I have heard there is some people that might not apply because it could get bad for them, like in lifestyle living. Most likely there has been a lot of thinking in this process. Even though right now, they haven’t applied.
Humanistic approach is a term that relevant to this story event. Humanistic is about emphasizing a person positive qualities, the capacity for positive growth, and freedom to choose one’s destiny. There qualities for being able to apply to this program and having a good positive mind would be helpful to think they would be able to get in the program. Critical thinking is thinking deeply and actively, asking question and evaluating the evidence. For this program to work, there are going to be a lot of thinking, as for those immigrant applying as for the President. There could be a lot of good things to think as well as bad thinking. Cognitive approach goes with those that work under immigrant status. They know, solve problems and get attention for those that need it like: immigrant people that have made a bad choice and may need deportation. Evolutionary approach goes with Obama and those that agree about passing to making DACA or the program for those parents with U.S citizen or resident children. They see the idea of reproduction and how specific human behaviors of how they are.
