I viewed the Youtube videos about finding the right mentor and I learned a lot from them. Before I watched them I really didn't think it was important at all to find a mentor, but now I am really considering it, because it can do so many things for myself, my career, and my future.

I am about to receive my Bachelors Degree in Database Management and then I am going to continue on with school and go for my MBA. While going to school I still want to get a job in the IT industry and I believe the best way to do this would to find a mentor. My ideal job would be at TD Ameritrade and I have been applying for internships there recently. I think an internship is a good way to find a mentor, because then I would be around all types of people who have been in the same situation I will be in.

I am really good at designing, creating, altering, and coding databases, but I just don't know exactly to expect once I do get a job. My mentor would be able to help me out with what companies will be wanting/expecting from me. Even though I am pretty good with databases, I don't know everything, so I believe having a sponsor would also be a great learning tool for me.
I have already talked about how having a mentor would be great for myself and for my career, but I also believe having a mentor could be tremendous for my future career opportunities. For example, my mentor could have many contacts in the IT industry and he/she could maybe get me an interview or something. Another scenario could be one day my mentor could get a promotion or is a project manager and could hire me on.
Before I didn't think much of it, but now I think it is a must for me to find and get a mentor. I need to
