Vision
The vision for Parker's Pride and Joy is to be one, if not the only preschool provider that focuses entirely on head start education and just not child care providing. Parker's Pride and Joy would also like to assist its teachers in reaching their personal goals in education to provide Wilmington Delaware and the surrounding areas with more loving, caring, experienced early education teachers. Parker's Pride and Joy has a goal of expanding its operations to have sites within Delaware as well as the surrounding areas such as NY, NJ, MD, PA. The proprietor of Parker's Pride and Joy would like to make the facility a staple in the communities in which it serves by providing jobs as well as quality child care to the community members.
Guiding Values/Principles
Guiding principles are the law that serves as a basis of reasoning and action, a personal code of conduct that leads, shows the way and directs the movement of the organization. (Kotelinikov, n.d.)
Some of the guiding principles for Parker's Pride and Joy are:
* Does it respect our fellow employees and the spirit of teamwork?
* Will it earn, and will we be worthy of our customer trust?
* Are we striving relentlessly to improve what we do and how we do it?
* Are we providing the tools, training, and education to our staff that will help us recognize the skills and knowledge of each individual?
For Parker's Pride and Joy, the principles will be to not compromise our values to make money, offer quality care as if the children were our own and always try to improve on what we do and the services we offer. The culture that Parker's Pride and Joy will represent is where all employees, staff, and contractors are aware of values, goals, diversity, practices and approaches that the people the company comes into contact with may have and respect them all.
The social responsibility for Parker's Pride and Joy will be to ensure that as long as a parent can pay for the service other than being full to capacity, every child should be accepted into the program. Parker's Pride and Joy will work with other community leaders to rehab the current community center to ensure children have a safe place to play as well as a place for older children to turn to instead of being on the streets. These actions will attract lenders or prospective partners to want to do business with Parker's Pride and Joy because we will show how much we care about the community.
