Abstract

If you are in need of information on a certain group of people statistic data is a way to go. You have different methods that can be used. When you need to do research in your area of expertise it is easy to just use statistical procedures. In this paper I will put some information together using the information that was given to me.

Introduction

Working with statistics takes some getting used to. There may be a number of variables that you may have to work with. It is a good idea to understand what it is you are being asked to do to make the information come together without any problems.

Chosen Variables

The variables that I chose are Gender and Intrinsic job satisfaction. I chose gender because I wanted to see what the differences would be between men and women and also how many were in each group. Choosing Intrinsic it lets me know which ones have the most problems in a certain area.

Difference in variable types

The difference between qualitative and quantitative variables is qualitative deals with categorizing either people or an attribute while quantitative deals with numbers. Which descriptive statistics are appropriate for qualitative variables a persons gender is appropriate and the reason why is you can put a person in a group according to their difference. Which are appropriate for quantitative variables and why? This way you can group something by numbers such as age and even body measurements.
