Pirelli Tyre is the world's fifth largest operator in the tyre market and is involved in the design, development, production and marketing of tyres destined for various types of vehicle. Pirelli tyres are synonymous with quality, emotion and ultimate performance.

Pirelli is one of the world's best known Italian brand names, thanks above all to the widespread distribution of the tyres produced in 24 manufacturing plants in 12 countries and a commercial presence in more than 160 countries. In particular, Pirelli is the world leader in the field of tyres for high performance cars, in both the original equipment and aftermarket segments.

As a leading global tyre manufacturer, Michelin is active on all continents and in more than 170 countries, from China to Brazil and from the United States of America to Germany and Russia. Michelin manufactures and sells tyres for all kinds of vehicles, including cars, vans, 4X4, SUV and many more.

In the UK, the company was established in 1905 in London. Tyre production commenced in 1927 at the first UK factory at Stoke-on-Trent, now the company's head office. Currently, Michelin operates three manufacturing sites (Ballymena, Dundee and Stoke), two main warehouses (Basildon and Stoke) and a sales operation (Stoke) from here.

The famous icon 'The Michelin Man' has been the driver's companion since 1898 and was voted as the "Best Logo Symbol of all time" in 2000, by a worldwide panel for the Financial Times.
