Pollution alert at Melbourne beaches
Summary
Melbourne's most popular bayside beaches were said to be rated poor due to the fierce storm on Christmas. However on Christmas the staffs were not working because of the public holidays as a result the forecast shows that they did predict a storm would come but didn't notice ferociousness of it. Swimming was not suggested from the pollutants such as rubbish, debris and more, that flows from drain pipe and local water ways to the bay. The sea water also contains bacteria that can give you the flu, respiratory illness, eye infections and ear-nose-throat infections. After 24 to 48 hours of fine weather and sunlight, the water quality will improve.
