Is private school tuition really worth it?
Private or public school? That is the question. It is an important thing for parents to keep in mind when choosing a school is the long and short term effects on their kids. The significant differences between public and private school will help determine what kind of school to choose. Public and private schools has many differences such as funding and their academic environment. Private schools provide a better environment for students to strive in their academic and daily life.
While a Private school has strict rules such as having all students dressed in a specific attire, it helps student become professional and it makes everyone equal. Students in private schools are more disciplined than the ones in public school because they are given more rules and responsibilities. In private school, there are smaller classes which allows teacher to focus students more. With a smaller class, teachers are able to cope with everyone's need and improve student's learning experience.
Also in private school, there are more superb facilities in school. There are more clubs and extracurricular activities going on. Private school offers many luxurious clubs such as horseback riding, hockey, lacrosse, swimming and many more. Private school students become more involved in school because there are several of club that will fit their interest. Unlike in public school, they may lack funding and are forced to cut those clubs and other programs. With more funds, students are able to attend special trips that require traveling outside their city and sleeping over with fellow classmates. These trips give student opportunities to see places and build independence.
One of the many reasons why private school would be better because the classes are small and teachers are more involved in their students. The class size are very small, it varies from 10-15 students. Every student will get their personal attention from the fellow teacher, compared to public school many times classes are over the maximum capacity of students and teachers will not be able to focus on individuals. Private school hires highly qualified teachers which means they find best of the best. Private school teachers have a first degree in their subject and almost all of them have a master's degree in their field. Private school goes through at least two to three steps before hiring. First, they will look for the competence and passion the applicant will teach. Then, they will go through how the applicant actually teaches. Finally, the school will look for references from the applicant's previous teaching jobs before they get hired.
Private school allows student to be competitive. It challenges student to a higher academic standard which enables them to learn and become more intellectual. Unlike in public school, students are just required to pass state's exam
