Progress Report No. 4 - Project Titan

Researching on New Video Conferencing technology

Reporting Period: February 2 to March 20, 2012

Synopsis:

Our team is researching on the new video conferencing technology for Matrix Ltd. Company. Our informational report to the company's CIO is due on March 20, 2012.

Work Accomplished:

In preparation for this assignment, each member of our team was assigned particular tasks. Each member completed research on specific areas of this technology and completed two pages of the rough draft.

* John: Surveyed users via Internet. Worked on introduction for rough draft, and made appointment with writing centre department.

* Paul: Completed research on desktop cameras and wrote two pages of rough draft.

* Ross: Completed research on software, wrote two pages of rough draft, and took rough draft to the writing centre.

* Joey: Completed research on microphones, wrote two pages of rough draft, and contacted Arrow Electronics for more information and suggestions.

* All members: Reviewed the report guidelines and identified pieces of the report that are still missing.

Work to Be Done:

Each member has now been assigned these tasks:

John Interview software users March 1st

Paul Get product specifications from vendors March 1st

Ross Add info from John & Paul, then take paper to writing centre March 1st

Joey Fine-tune the rough draft for final printing March 1st

Anticipated Problems:

Our progress is still on schedule. However, we anticipate difficulty in cohesively bringing together the two pages each team member has written for the rough draft.

Scheduling

We will overcome this problem through careful proofreading, revising and editing along with help from the writing centre.

I am confident that we will be able to complete it on time and with successful results. I will provide you with an update of our progress on the next scheduled date.
