Psychopathology At The Movie
The T.V. series House M.D. is what I choose to do an psychology evaluation on. The
following is an overview of the hit series. House, an innovative take on the medical
drama, it is a series in which the villain is a medical malady and the hero is an irreverent, controversial doctor who trust's no one, least of all his patients. Dr. Gregory House, devoid of a bedside manner and dealing with his own pain from a wrongly diagnosed leg injury who now uses a cane to walk due to muscle atrophy. He also abuses the prescription pain pill Vicodin and believes that without it he would not be a brilliant diagnostician whose unconventional thinking and ability to "see" inside the patients illness create a high demand for his services. House leads a team of experts who help him unravel diagnostic mysteries, they include Dr. Chris Taub, Dr. Remy Hadley, Dr. Robert Chase and Dr. Eric Foreman. He has a confidant and good friend in oncology specialist Dr. James Wilson, and maintains a somewhat volatile and undefined relationship with Dr. Lisa Cuddy, the Dean of Medicine and hospital administrator of Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital.
* House M.D. His behavior often borders on antisocial disorder, and clinical depression. He also had suffered from dissociative fugue stemming from a bus accident in which Dr. James Wilson's girlfriend lost her life. After the accident and the regain of his memory House suffered from hallucinations and delusions.
