Carlee - How many of you have ever argued with your friends about what game you will play?
Raise your hand I you have ever disagreed about whose turn it is when you are playing a game.
Friends argue or disagree all the time, but every conflict can be settled, or fixed, if you follow just four simple steps. Today you are going to meet a couple of interesting animals who learn to resolve conflicts and save their friendship. Boys and girls don't waste your time fighting with your friends. Listen to these animals to learn what you can do when you're involved in a conflict.
(Introduce _____________, the pig, ______________, the monkey, and _______________, the donkey.)
Pig: Hey, __________! Would you like to play catch?
Donkey: Sorry, ___________, but I want to play soccer.
Pig: You know if you play catch with me, it would be a lot more fun.
Donkey: No, it's more fun to play catch. I want to play soccer and that's what I want to do.
Pig: If that's the way you feel about it, play soccer. Play soccer all by yourself. I'm leaving, and I never want to see you again!
(PIG LEAVES)
Donkey: Well, there's no sense staying here by myself. I guess I'll go home.
(LAMB LEAVES)
(MONKEY ENTERS)
Monkey: Oh, no! It looks like (Pig) and (Donkey) were arguing about something and it ended badly. Each of them wanted to play a different game and if they're not careful their friendship could be over. I'd better go and help them save their friendship by teaching them the four steps needed to save their friendship.
