1. INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS
The Oakwood Baseball Club, hereafter referred to as "Owner", invites you to submit a proposal for services listed herein. It is the intent of this request to select a consultant experienced in master planning for baseball and sports club campuses.
1.1. General Description of Work
The proposed property is generally located on the highway 880 approximately 20 acre tract of land. The land is relatively flat and it has only a few dilapidated structures (barns) and trees on it. There already exist lines for water and sewer and should not present any unusual technical problems. We will adequately provide installation of Utilities to the property line including water, sewer hook-up and road access.
The Oakwood Baseball Club has current agreement with its managing board Oakwood Partners to develop a plan for financing, designing, developing and constructing a new baseball practice field for the use by the team and members of the club. The proposed baseball practice field project will have a playing field, a small clubhouse and parking area that would hold about 50 cars. Please not that no spectator seating is required at this time.
The maximum project budget amount shall be 4 million. The practice field cost amount shall be no more than 1.5 million. The project should include a playing field and all permanent improvements, additions, fixtures, equipment, installations. The clubhouse should include restrooms, Club offices, clubhouses/locker rooms, storage areas and parking areas.
1.2. What Must Be Included with Bid
RFPs will be accepted from pre-qualified Construction Managers/Constructor entity for
which specific information is being furnished. Prequalified construction managers must
be able to enter into a contract for and directly manage this project from the office
location identified as the principal office in the qualifications information. Failure to
submit the requested qualifications information in the manner prescribed will be
considered nonresponsive and may result in rejection of the submittal in its entirety.
Prospective construction managers shall furnish all of the following qualification
Information.
A. FIRM INFORMATION
Limit section to seven (4) pages.
A.1 Describe the organizational structure of the firm for which the RFP is being
furnished. Include the name and address of the firm, the location of the office of
the firm (principal office) from which most work will be directed, the proximity
of the firm's corporate headquarters/home office to Oakland County, and the type of
business (e.g. corporation, partnership, individual, joint venture or other).
If a joint venture, describe the division of responsibilities between participating
firms, the office(s) that will be primary participants and the percent interest of
each firm; submit a copy of the joint venture agreement. Describe any previous
experience of the joint venture.
A.2 Provide a summary of the history, reputation, integrity, capability and character of
the firm. Include the number of years the firm has been providing construction
services. Describe the firm's experience with the local subcontractors/vendors, and the
local design community. Describe familiarity with local building inspection
criteria, code authorities and other local agencies.
A.3 Describe and document the financial strength/stability of the firm. Include both a
current financial statement and a letter from the firm's surety confirming the
firm's ability to provide bonding for this project.

legal, environmental, engineering, equipment, safety and training resources
available to the firm for this project. Include a list of total number of the firm's personnel
