1. Hockey experience plays an important factor deciding Scott self-efficacy as top executive in the fast-paced world of computer system. The fact that Scott McNealy plays hockey passionately, playing in the center, playing with Sun's employees, being in offense, being competitive is reflected in his highly successful management techniques as a sharp CEO. With his high self-efficacy, Scott seems to master the challenge and he is in control of his own life. He is able to perform well and more likely to view difficult tasks as something to be mastered rather than something to be avoided. Scott with his high self-efficacy is successful in managing the company as well as in managing his employees.
