Shoes
Shoes! Women love shoes. If you were to approach a woman and ask her to recall her favorite or most memorable pair of women's shoes, she would likely have a quick response. It could have been her first pair of expensive designer shoes that stir feelings of glee or her first pair of Adidas or Nike tennis shoes that bring back the memories. The day she was walking in the park and meet the man of her dreams or the day after working out for 6 months straight and stepping on that scale and see you have lost 50 pounds. You then remember the style, brand, color of the shoes you had been wearing to help you achieve your goal. And they become you favorite pair of shoes from then on.
Only a woman can truly understand what it feels like to wear an immaculately divine pair of shoes. Once the perfect pair of shoes is slipped on, a woman immediately wears a giddy smile on her face as well as a renewed self-confidence that puts her in the mood to strut the streets in high fashion style. Fancy doing your signature walk that will give Carrie Bradshaw a run for her money. The moment you slip these on you'll feel like a million bucks!
You can easily see the expression on her face light up and turn inward as she thinks back to the shoes that were, for her, a life-changing thing. It was the moment she felt like she fit in with the other kids at middle school. She finally had the right brand of athletic shoes and not the knock off brand. It doesn't matter that she can now afford any pair of women's designer shoes and not the replica designer shoes. And it doesn't matter that now she can rock the silhouette of any of the dress casual shoes from Jimmy Choo, Chinese laundry, or that she can show off any of the fancy new sneakers from Nike, Reebok, Addidas. She only remembers the excitement and relief she felt just before her mom and dad bought her first pair of brand name shoes for her. She knew that tomorrow was going to be a better day at school, and somehow it was the shoes that made it all possible. Know that when she get to school the next morning the children at school are going to be asking, " what kind of shoes are those?" or "How much did they cost?" Knowing that you can now fit into the in crowd with the popular children. Perhaps it's that internal emotional connection with shoes that sets each of us on our own personal journey in life.
However, in recent years, high fashion designers as well as high street stores have come to know that flat shoes can be as sexy as high heels while supplying the wearer with a more comfortable and more practical alternative at shoes have been heralded as the solution to the risks and troubles that come with wearing high heels and in early days, they also came with a stigma attached - they're not as sexy. That is because flats are not sexy and not particularly glamorous as they do nothing for your legs but alas they are more comfortable to be sure, safer, you bet, glamorous, no way. I suppose it is possible to look glamorous in workout shoes although like flats, not likely. Flats can be stylish-sure, attractive-absolutely but glamorous. Some women don't like high heels, don't wear them and their complaints of back, leg, foot pain are completely valid and true. That doesn't mean they don't make you look hotter, sexier and attractive. High heels make your legs look sexier and if you are wired like most women in America, sexier. I have nothing at all against women who refuse to wear high heels any more than I have no problem with women wearing sweat pants but glamorous- No way.
Sure, it seems silly that a pair of running shoes - or any women shoes for that matter - could evoke such emotion, but the truth is that shoes are never just shoes. When you walk past that mirror wearing your favorite heels and catch your silhouette, you suddenly feel a surge of confidence. It's not so much the actual shoes, but it's the way the shoes make you feel and how they make you remember things. With
