Sociological Imagination helps people to see the difference between personal problems and public issues. Sociological Imagination is a state of mind or way of thinking that helps people to see that an individual issue is part of a larger society. The "Sociological Imagination" was introduced by C. Wright Mills in 1959. There are many things that influence our behavior in society. For example, I have find myself spending more money than what I make. I would buy expensive boots just to go to work, or buy colognes that are too expensive. One might perceive credit card debt as a personal problem, just because you are just paying your own debt. Because of a tremendous part or proportion of the United States with credit card debt, this can also be examined as a public issue. Lack of savings leads to a future of economic instability. People get more involve with credit cards because once you get approved from one credit card, credit card companies as Capital One, MasterCard, and many others starts targeting people to apply for more credit cards which at the end the reality is that people are getting more debt than before. Therefore, the decision that they picked was a bad choice.Lack of savings leads to a future of economic instability.
