Roman Catholicism has long been the main religion of Spain, and although it no longer has official status by law, in all public schools in Spain students have to choose either a religion to cuisine and music, from many countries across Europe and from around the Mediterranean,Due to cultural diversity through its long history.
.Spanish literature has also known a great number of influences and it is very diverse. Artists from Spain have been highly influential in the development of various European artistic movements. Due to historical, geographical and generational diversity, Spanish art has known a great number of influences. The European influences include Italy, Germany and France, especially during the Baroque and Neoclassical periods.
Spanish cuisine consists of a great variety of dishes which stem from differences in geography, culture and climate. It is heavily influenced by seafood available from the waters that surround the country, and reflects the country's deep Mediterranean roots.
Spain is a constitutional monarchy, with a hereditary monarch and a bicameral parliament, the General Courts The executive branch consists of a Council of Ministers of Spain presided over by the Prime Minister, nominated and appointed by the monarch and confirmed by the Congress of Deputies following legislative elections. By political custom established by King Juan Carlos since the ratification of the 1978 Constitution, the king's nominees have all been from parties who maintain a plurality of seats in the Congress.
