ASSALAMUALAIKUM W.B.T
First of all, our mini project may not be perfectly done but it surely has fulfilled the requirement needed. So we would like to thank especially to our Math lecturer, Sir Suhaimi Abdul Rahman, for assisting us in getting our mini project done. Next, we would also like to give credits to our friends for making the surveying part of the project a success.
As for the process of making the project, we only took about a week to get it done. This project taught us on how to apply the knowledge that we have learned about Statistic. Throughout the project, we also have gained a lot of extra knowledge on the topic. We hope that this project will be approved as what we have expected.
For this Mini Project Report, we decided to choose a topic of 'Mobile Prepaid Reload Expenditure among CFS IIUM Students in a Month'. We gained the data by conducting a survey by distributing survey forms to 50 respondents (sample) randomly among the CFS IIUM students (population).
In the survey form, we served a several questions for them to answer. One of the questions asked the exact amount of prepaid reload used by the students in a month, which we will use as the raw data for this survey project.
Besides that, we take this opportunity to include some extra questions in the survey form asking the respondents about their purpose(s) of spending money on mobile prepaid reload and either they plan their expenditure on mobile prepaid reload wisely. We also asked them to rank the type of communication that they prefer the most to the least.
After we obtained the results (raw data), we organized it using frequency distribution and we classified it into 7 classes. Then, we analysed the data description and we used Microsoft Excel to construct graphical presentations of the data by histogram, frequency polygon and Ogive. Then, we interpreted the overall data to give a conclusion.
Last but not least, in the end of this project, we like to make a conclusion from the statistics result as well as some suggestions regarding to the extra questions that we conclude
