“Once immigrants arrived in the new countries they can face many difficulties, they may have to get a job, find a house, and learn a new language” (immigrant fact for kids/kidzsearch.com). Immigrants always have difficulties when they moved from their country and leave everything behind them. They lost their homes, jobs, and their culture. “Voice from the Field,” a book that was written by S. Beth Atkin described the life of an immigrant’s family who was working as a farmer in California when they first started their life here in U.S.A. in 1993. The book is important because it illustrates the suffering of immigrants’ children, social and economic problems in their lives. Migrants’ children face difficulty in their lives because of poverty, homesickness, rights violations.

. The first issue,  migrants’ children suffer from poverty because they face many complications situations because of shortage of their income. For example, migrants’ children must work and study at the same time.  “It is hard to work and go to school at the same time” (Beth Atkin pg. 15). For some children, it is not easy to work and study all day long. They would be tired and that may affect their education performance. The other choice is to leave is to leave school and help their parents. “She knows dropped out of school to work in the fields with his father” (Beth Atkin Pg. 89). Other kind of suffering that immigrants’ children may face is living in an unsuitable house. “We share them with the other families on the property” (Beth Atkin Pg. 30).  Many families have small house or old and unhealthy ones.

.

The second issue, buying a house is a dream for everyone. Acutely this dream started with them since they first arrived here. Also, it is considered a big dream for them. “We used to have a bathroom in our house in Mexico, but here the bathroom is outside”. p.30 They left their house back home and they must start over again maybe they could buy a big house like their house in the future. “There in Cuernavaca, we owned our house, and there was room for all our family. Here, is too expensive to own a house”. p.49 Now they miss their owned house because if you want to buy a house here, you have to work hard and collect money. “That house was pink, and it had two floors. Our house here is one room with a kitchen.” p.22 The immigrant people children and their families compared their house in their original country to a new country. Again, they were thinking that they could buy a big house here according to the idea that they had about easy money.

The third issue, about right of viloations from migrant’s children because of breaking the low, wrong, and infraction which happen in their country. Some of migrant children are breaking the low in their life while when they arrived in a new country “Some gangs sell drugs and sometimes they steal car stereos or money from stores, but they nevet steal from houses”(Beth.Atikn 59.60). Almost everybody in a gang has a weapon, but the most common weapon is a knife. There are many immigrants children who had infraction in their lives “It is easier to get drugs when you are in a gang” (Beth.Atkin 59). Actually, some of them had many problems in their life, so they joined into gang. Vilence in gang is a big problem that were used to kill people “The worst thing about gangs is when the kill someone” (Beth Atkin 60). Many migrant children got killed, or they kill because they chose wrong way to started their life in their new country. There are many immigrants who occupy and break the law, and sometimes they are mistake.
