From the case study, I can detect the strength from DataClear Company. The strength is DataClear has many specialists and skill workers that have experience in software developer for example DataClear founder, Greg McNally had a PhD in computer science. Then, DataClear have Susan Moskowski, a former sales rep at Banking Data Systems are Greg McNally's backbone in financial and become Sales Executive. Moreover, DataClear is a successfully apprentice company after releasing its first software product which is ClearCloud. So, DataClear had very strong name to be sell worldwide.

Then, the DataClear weakness is it was a new company that just brought the name in two years growth which also still lacks of experience to go across borders and selling their product. Furthermore, DataClear don't have any international sales strategy to bring them internationally. Then, DataClear still lack of capability to serve the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

The opportunity that DataClear had is joint venture with Benro, a company from Norway. If they had a joint venture with Benro, they might be able to talk about reciprocal distribution. Moreover, Benro is already very familiar with European customers in financial services. Then, although DataClear not already go globally yet but their market research showing a lot of demand for ClearCloud outside the United States.

The threat that DataClear had to face is high cost which is $500,000 a year which is the cost of salaries and expenses if they want to compete with the British competitor. Therefore, they must to find local staff to install and support the product and the cost will be more than $500,000 in a year.
