Altough many people think that only adults have stress related problems, teens also have alot of stress to deal with at their young age including, friend choice, school peer pressure, and family problems caused by divorce and separation.

Although many people think that only adults have stress related problems, teens also have a lot of stress to deal with at their young age including, school peer pressure, and family problems. Teenagers today have a lot of stress because of a lot of different reasons. However, there are three main things in my opinion that cause stress for teenagers which are school related issues, relationships, and peer pressure. These things can cause teenagers to do things that they thought they were not capable of, which could be good or bad, depending on the situation.

First, school related issues are the main cause for teenage stress these days. It can be caused by them being pushed too hard by their parents or teachers, because for some a lot is expected of them. It can also be caused by them by participating in their school sports. Winning or achieving a goal is the greatest accomplishment in the world, when students participate in the school sports feeling stressed can come from coaches, teammates and even the parents. Coaches want solid work and constant dedication to that sport. This causes an enormous amount of stress. Teammates also expect the best in performance in big games. Sports can help out stress, but not in a situation where the athlete consumes a lot of pressure to perform and complete at an achieving level.
