Increase the availability of coke in rural area
Coca-cola Company should increase the availability of coke in rural area in order to increase the export level. Coca-cola Company must first increase the demand of the products base on geographic variables. If the Company thinks it is too unnecessary to operate a factory in the particular country due to poorly advertised or high cost price, they can have special event or campaign to introduce their products in the rural area.
Improve process and product's Quality
Based on the case where there is a major controversy concerning pesticides and other harmful chemicals in bottled products including Coca-cola in India, Coca-cola should improve its process and product's quality by giving professional training to their workers and also hire professionals to check on their products frequently to prevent from harmful chemical in the products.
Promotional Program
Promotion, in some where it takes, is an attempt to influence so the company could hold a defined marketing promotional mix so that the consumer could be aware of its brand at large. Unlike the other soft drink company, Coca-Cola Company has low promotional strategies in advertising their product. Besides the common advertisement in television, Coca-Cola seldom comes out with promotional program which can create high brand awareness and to differentiate their products from the others. They can adopt the strategy by the following methods:
* Advertising (E.g. put up more advertisement in newspapers, television, radio and magazines.)
* Sale promotion (E.g. hires spokesperson to give sampling and clearly explain about their products)
* Public relations (E.g. special event sponsorship, road shows and etc)
To overcome the threats
New Product Development
In order to drive out competitors, Coca-Cola Company should have an explicit strategy with respect to developing and evaluating new products. This is to achieve strong sale and healthy profits company. This could also help it to defend its market share. For example, Coca-Cola can produce a range of new products to fight with either current or new competitors since Coca-Cola has such a strong base of loyal customers, who identify with the cola brand. However, Coca-cola should not pushed the idea despite poor marketing research findings like what happened in the introduction of New Coke which was a product failure.
