The 6 facets include emotional development, intellectual development, cultural development, spiritual development, social development and physical development. In my opinion it is very important to incorporate each of the facets into a baby's nursery because it helps them develop quickly in a variety of ways. In the nursery that I have designed I tried to add unique and clever objects to include each facet and also to satisfy the baby's needs and preferences.

The first facet I focused on was emotional development. This facet is all about creating a healthy emotional state for the baby. To ensure this I added objects such as light calming colours, mirrors, paintings, wall quotes, puppets and rattles. All these objects have something in common; they all provide the child with a happy, fun environment where they can learn to recognize them self and the things that are important to them.

The next facet is intellectual development. This facet is important because it allows the child's brain to become more capable of understanding, analysing and evaluating concepts to make sense out of the world around them. For this facet, I included an alphabet/number mat, a musical mobile, a kitchen set, books, dolls, play telephones, musical instruments, shopping carts and much more. Each of these objects have the ability of teaching the child different skills in different ways. For example, the alphabet/number mat will teach the child how to make puzzles, how to count, and teach them the alphabet. While the dolls with teach them responsibility and how to communicate. Both objects being very beneficial to the intellectual facet while creating variety.

The third facet is the cultural facet. I found this one of the hardest of the 6 to cover. The culture facet shapes a person's personality and world view, everyone is influenced by there culture. To address culture, I added a flag, wall quotes, a cross and wall letters to spell out the child's name. Each of these objects were hard for me to pick out because I do not have any of these things in my room, and it's not something I often think about. I chose these objects because they are the first things I think of when I hear the word culture. A flag to represent my country, a cross to represent beliefs and religion, quotes that are symbolic, and the name of the child which is often related to culture. All these things are tied together to represent culture.

The fourth facet is the spiritual facet which is closely linked with the culture facet. Spirituality involves religious practices/symbols and being in touch with the earth and yourself. I really got my creative side flowing while choosing the following objects; small plants, glow in the dark stars and planets, rainforest waterfall soother, a dream catcher, a Zen garden and other small decorations. Each of these objects relates to the earth and nature. The dream catcher is an exception but it has
