The Arrest and Search Report
On June 16, 2013 approximately 0900 hour an incident was reported that robbery had taken place at Marquette's Market, which a sum of money was taken. As a result of this robbery the Chief of Police of the Minnesota Police Department, assigned me to investigate and to make any necessary arrests that are connected to the robbery and hope to be able to do it all in the same day.
I began my investigation immediately by trying to establish suspects. My investigations began immediately by going to the scene of the robbery to see if there were any eyewitnesses and to seek interviewing them of what they seen. I was able to seek a few people in the market to interview which included the business personnel and the loss prevention personnel. After converse with the loss prevention personnel, I was able to get the automobile tag number of the automobile that was seen speeding away from the scene of the robbery. This was the same car that the merchants at the market, has the same description of the car that they saw one of the men rushing to before it sped off. With all the information I had gather, I was able to get and seek a suspect by the name of Ronald Riff. In addition, to the information I had seek earlier that day, a neighbor of Ronald Riff call the station to say that she heard about the robbery and they had information about Mr. Riff and the robbery. The information was that she saw Mr. Riff taking various articles from a car that she had under no circumstances seen Riff with previously. So with these facts, I had no doubt not to suspect Mr. Riff and now I had rational evidence to search his home. Nevertheless, to do the search I'm required to secure an apprehension warrant from the Law court judge. So around 1135 hours, I was granted an arrest warrant for the arrest of the suspect Mr. Riff. I initiated my search immediately. At around 1200 hours, I personally arrived at the accused's house however Mr. Riff was not at home. I was informed by the fellow citizen that Mr. Riff is regularly at the marketplace around this time of the day; so I proceeded to the marketplace. From the accounts I received previously, I was able to identify the suspect. As soon as Mr. Riff notices me, he started running in the direction of his home and I chased him. I follow behind him into his house , he was shown the searched warrant and began searching every room. During the search a bag of money containing the sum of $910,000 in cash, drafts (checks) payable to the marketplace and a mallet was found and taken for evidences. With this I was able to make an arrest of Mr. Riff and take him into custody. 60 minutes after the apprehension, I gather my principal report for which the prosecutor was able to lay the blame on the defendant and hold him for court.
