Since the advent of television, the effect of television violence on the society has been widely studied and debated. The influence of television on youth behaviour is a matter of much concern. It is a subject that has attracted a great deal of attention since decades past. Several researchers have been involved in the study in order to understand the relationship that exists between watching violence on the television and real life violence. The researchers who have conducted the studies over the years sometimes disagree among themselves.
