One evening while I was watching TV with my cousin and relatives, after movement suddenly, my cousin shouts outside loudly because he saw burning fire in top of roof. I don’t how it happen but as people saying that one woman is cooking food in gas cylinder, she forget to turn off the cylinder gas as she make fire with matches stick for candle . The suddenly gas catch the fire then start burning around 1300 houses. Unfortunately, no one died in that incident and this fire incident causes huge problems to us because all our property burned except the people and some important document. These were misery movement for all of us because it makes homeless to us; thank God, during that movement we are not starving, organization provides us food & shelter to survive

My Name is Sagar Mukhiya; in 1995, I was born in eastern part of Nepal, which called Goldhap, Jhapa. I grew up in Goldhap, it is remote area and near forest where I live with my family, house where we live was made of bamboo stick, mud and roof where our people also live as well. I spent my beautiful childhood movement over there with family, cousin and friends.  We are Refugee and our place is not standard as like here in USA. An organization LWF, UNHCR, UN, CARITAS and others organization helps us to build shelter, provide food to survive and provides education. Our house destroyed by flood and bridge which is only a road to enter the camp also destroyed by flooding, as more than two week there was no transportation and everything is blocked.  During my journey of education, my mother helps me to know the value of education and how important is education. Education facility was not good as USA but struggle hard as poorly to accomplish the brighter future.

In July 14, 2011, we were arrived Syracuse, NY (USA) with the help of International Organization for Migration (IOM).  At the first time, it was hard time for me to understand the language; I was like what are they talking about & unknown about the US laws, places & environment. I was shocked how big it is & how standard, opportunity & facilities given to students. After few months I did start going school, it was hard to involve and makes new friends because there are different ethnicities, culture and tradition and I did not understand what teacher is speaking. In these situation it was hard for me to study, as one side I feel like I couldn’t make it through my goal but another side I feel  I won’t give up in education and I need to struggle hard to make changes to fulfilled my future goal. As realizing the difficulty Movement that I spent and goal, that I need to achieve motivates me to struggle hard on studying. Seriously, it made many changes on my education Process and encourage me to move forward. I believed that the strong motivation of my struggle helps me to become doctor and fulfilled my desire.

The journey of my life was challenging but it helps to promote my education process and me. Every movement of my life teaches me lesson & brings huge changes on my life. The spending time in Nepal was misery situation but although lives with happily. Now it change the way of living and learn new stuff, which promote me from small to higher level.  Each struggle that I do brings more efforts to fight and overcome the obstacle that I had. The believing in my hope gives me effort to bring huge changes and helps me overcome the difficulties I had, if it is to encouragement, then give encouragement. The struggle that I gone through gave me strong motivation to move forwarded in my future career. You are stronger than you think.
