All we know that nowadays there are some urgent problems in the world. And together humanity should try to solve them or, at least, decrease their number. For example: the end of the cold war opened new prospects for peace and cooperation. And the era of globalization is transforming the world bringing knowledge, information and economic opportunity into all corners of the world. So, today mankind has rather many capabilities to reach that goal.
As I have mentioned before, we should try to solve them. For example: in order to keep peace governments should cooperate or unite efforts with other countries, hold international meetings, aspire to ban and gradually eliminate weapons, especially weapons of mass destruction. Also they should do their best to settle local conflicts and restore peace in troubled areas. In turn, common people should also help to keep peace. They can take part in anti-war actions and participate in peace rallies, support some peace fund financially, teach young children tolerance and respect for human life, explain how to solve their problems peacefully. And in general, they can propagate peace by all possible means.
Unfortunately, today the international community faces a large number of dramatic and profound changes that bring threats to social unity, to cultural diversity, to the environment. This is confirmed by the fact that the terrorist attacks are becoming more and more bold and destructive and cause great worry. But at the same time, different measures are being taken to prevent terrorism. For example: in order to enter the USA, people will be fingerprinted. In turn, the British government is considering providing information about terrorism to every house in the UK. And also some airlines have employed sky marshals to fly in planes and attack terrorists if they attempt a hijacking.
Nowadays there is an international organization called the UNO, which is the United Nations Organization. It comprises 193 member states. This organization encourages countries to work together to deal with international problems, unites efforts to keep international peace and security, settles local conflicts, restores peace in troubled areas and tries to ease world tension and establish a lasting peace.
In summary, all what I have said above confirms, that the peoples of the world can resist such long-standing problems as drug trafficking, organized crime, nationalism and ethnic tensions only trough international cooperation.
