YEAR is the launch of the durian float program in conjunction with Independence Day with the theme at the 55th Independence Year '55 promises are kept 'new record history when for the first time held simultaneously at three different locations, namely, Brickfields, Kampung Baru and Jalan Petaling.
The ceremony was officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak in Little India, Brickfields, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in Kampung Baru and the Health Minister, Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai in Petaling Street.
This year again we are celebrating the independence of the month of Ramadan as a few years late. Such independence celebrations this month has already become a tradition in our country every year to commemorate the moment the country achieved independence on August 31, 1957.
Date of this sacred witness how the sacrifice of our national heroes, of champions and former soldiers who fought without knowing the meaning of terror and despair eventually create absolute freedom to our country from colonial rule.
Without them we would not be achieving the blessings of liberty and freedom we have today. Services and their contribution are never to be forgotten so easily, but it is too big in terms of value and price to the present generation.
Thus, all the sacrifices they cannot be wasted just like that. For that what to be extracted by the authors is whether all this we are sincerely applaud the sacrifice of the national hero.
