The Rebellious Fireman
The main theme is that the more technology advances, the more isolated the world will become. Guy Montag is an anarchistic fireman who ends up breaking the law. Montag breaks away from society by getting away from technology after meeting an interesting girl named Clarisse and hiding books instead of burning them. The book Fahrenheit 451was written by Ray Bradbury and it demonstrates what life would be like in the future.
In the beginning Guy Montag is beyond curious, but like they say; curiosity killed the cat. He hid books in his house even though he's a fireman for group 451, which burns books. Ever since he had met Clarisse, he's been thinking about more detailed things than most of the people living within the town. Clarisse had changed Montag from being a clone just like everyone else into a curious man.
In Part Two, Montag is unruly about the laws of society. Montag was hiding books in other firemen's houses. In order to keep his secret safe, he had to hide the evidence. Framing other firemen from his group was berserk. No one ever talks to any one into as much detail as Montag's conversation with Fabel. After they had talked in the park, Fabel gave Montag a green ear piece that looked like a bullet. Just like Clarisse, he doesn't belong in that society. No one ever talks to anyone anymore, and the books are forbidden; Guy Montag has started to morph into a defiant outcast in society.
At this point, Montag was disloyal to the laws and society completely. Yeah, keeping the books was forbidden, but they help you gain knowledge. Montag had burned Beatty alive. Beatty was the one pressuring Montag into doing it, it should be considered a suicidal rampage rather than a homicide. Beatty should have been arrested long before this incident even happened because you could tell that he read the books as well. Montag was wanted by the police and even had police alerts and helicopters looking for him. He did what had to be done, and he shouldn't regret it. Like they say, curiosity kills the cat; Beatty was the cat in this occurrence,
The end was near; the isolated city was hit by a bomb and buried instantly. To become isolated from people, you have other things controlling your like to the point that you're a social outcast. It will happen eventually as technology advances. The author wanted readers to realize that technology can become a vast issue and isolate people. Overall, the book leads us to how things may turn out if the world continues to evolve all these technological studies.
