Thief:

Introduction:

How many of us have ever had something taken from us? It’s a horrible feeling when someone steals something that you love from you.

Many times we see in the papers or hear on the news about famous robberies. In fact they even make movies about clever thieves, and how they plan their crimes to steal something.

But I think that the most famous thieves, though are not the ones you hear about.

We are going to do a drama for you about the greatest thief the world has ever known. He is so clever that he steals the most valuable things, and the people don’t even know he has taken it. It’s called, “The Thief”.

Drama:

Introduce the person who will give the testimony. (3 – 5 minutes)

Conclusion:

Satan has been lying and stealing from people for a long time. He is stealing something they don’t even realize is precious. He steals their friendships, their health, their future, and their lives.

How many of you have been robbed by Satan?

Have you ever told a lied, or stolen, or cheated? If you have, he’s stolen your innocence.

Have you ever thought an immoral thought? If you have, he’s stolen your purity.

Have you ever sinned? If you have, he’s stolen your chance to be with God in heaven.

He’s stolen your future. Many times we don’t even want to go to God, because we feel so bad about ourselves. Satan steals from us again by telling us a lie that we are so bad God can’t or won’t help us.

I was stolen from by Satan. But today, I’m telling you the truth. Jesus came to destroy the works of the evil one. He can make all things new.

I made a choice. I didn’t want to be bullied by Satan anymore. I hated all the problems I had in my life.

God helped me when I came to Him in prayer and said, “Jesus, I’m sorry for believing the lies of satan. I’ve done things that were sinful and wrong. I’m sorry. Can you please forgive me? Can you give me your new life, that can never be stolen away by the enemy?”

And Jesus answered me, and now I know, I am certain, that I am God’s friend, and will go to live with Him for ever.

If you would like to be free from Satan and his lying thieving ways, you can also choose to have Jesus as your friend.

If there are any here today who would like to choose Jesus why don’t you (put up your hands, stand up, come and talk to us), and we will pray with you.

(Get Steve to lead them in prayer, or to take the conclusion for you if you like Jenny.)
