Time management skill is very useful not only in educational matters, but also in everyday life. Though I know this skill is useful and very much needed, I still have a hard time developing this skill fully. I tend to procrastinate and wait until I have a deadline to get things done. I then I justify these actions by saying "I work well under pressure". After putting together a timeline of my 24 hour day I have learned a lot about myself and figured out a way to use my time more efficiently.

I establish my priorities by doing things that are easiest and most convenient first and then tackling the more difficult things last. I understand that if I didn't do this, I wouldn't have to rush to do the more difficult things, therefore producing better results. From now on I will try to have things finished at least a week before the dead line. A back up plan is essential in time management for a person like me. I have printed out a copy of the course calendar for all of my classes and posted them on the wall of my room and also in my office at work. These are the two places that I spend most of my time, making it easy for me to remember what needs to get done.

I found that making list of things that need to get done works well. I make a list of short term goals and check them off as I complete each one. This keeps me on track and also allows me to have the structure that is needed when developing time management skills. Also I can cut down on the time I spend social networking and watching television. This time could be used for things of more importance that will help me meet some of my
