I understand your concern regarding training of the vested employees within the firm. Let me first reassure you that the training will not be that of an "elementary school". The atmosphere will be relaxed, where mutual respect and a supportive "win-win" environment will be fostered. The reasons this type of setting can take place is because there are many differences between adult learning and child learning. Adults are self-directed; they have acquired a large amount of knowledge and experience that can be tapped as a resource for learning. Adults are more apt to learn especially if the learned tasks are relevant to the roles they have assumed in their life. Adults also display a higher motivation to learn and they expect to immediately apply what they learned.

These needs will be met by providing a flexible schedule to accommodate all employees' needs; no control will be exerted on the students; instead an interdependent mature relationship will be fostered. Communication will be "two-way", where concerns or questions will be respected and supported. It is important to understand that adult learners are more trainable because they view their work environment and other employees as relaxed, trusting, and mutually respectful. The adult learners are also self-directed and disciplined learners. An evaluation of the training program will also occur at the end of the training seminar. Understanding that adults are more motivated to learn and ready to immediately apply the skills will make this training course easier to take than many may have expected.

It is important to understand each individual's learning style and how to accommodate their needs so that long term retention and understanding of the course material will occur. PowerPoint demonstrations along with diagrams and role-playing will be a part of this training seminar. Giving the students an opportunity to fully engage and understand the principles being taught to them will ensure the long term retention of the information taught.

Meeting the needs of the individual students will display equal treatment to all within the learning environment. Many students have different ways of learning; which is why I am presenting all the material in visual, auditory, and kinesthetic method. Each learner's needs must be met so that the employees can work together and equally understand material as it is being presented to them.
