From my observation, this department experiencing some problems in terms of people, process and condition of the equipment’s that need some changes. Objective Training Industries
Industry training is a mandatory requirement for every student before they are eligible to be considered for the award of the Bachelor Degree. Each student must pass industry training before being allowed to enter the next semester. Students who fail to get re-training redo industry.
After undergoing Industrial Training for four months, I learned a lot from all aspects relating to the career field, especially how to communicate with the employer and related parties. By serving in the Legal Department, USM, I have studied the ways in which officials handling is executed, manage files, preparing minutes of meetings and so on.
In general industrial training should be continued because function is to provide benefits as well as benefits to the trainers in terms of scientific experience before setting foot True to the nature of work. It is caused when a person claimant undergo industrial training, they will be able to see a clear picture as well as the state of the world of work, True besides trying to adjust to the tasks assigned to him.
Had this exercise is not held, the situation is rather difficult to be traversed by the learners to take the job, true nature. Thus, it appears that exercise is very important and a lot of harm to the good of the students.
Finally, after successfully completed industrial training, the trainees can see for themselves the real situation facing the world of work and in training bittersweet run. I would like to apologize to the Legal Department for errors contained in this report and sincere and willing to accept constructive criticism. With this training, hope all the experience and knowledge can be used when venturing into a career
Student’s Role And Responsibilites
In today’s world, our graduates need to be better prepared for the workplace and also need to have the skill and competencies necessary to have a conpetitive edge in the job market. Having the certificate alone does not guarantee profession. Industrial traning is important for the student to know the real working environment and at the same time it gives the student an oppurtunity to put into practice what he or she has learned at UiTM. The organization should be more concerned about the industrial tranining in order to help the student to improve their skill and competencies and the most important thing is this program are play an important role in preparing the student for a professional career.
Moreover, participating in internship programs allow the staff of an organisation to develop leadership and mentoring skills, create exposure for the company, bring new perspective and fresh ideas into the work environment. It is also a convenient pathway for the company to recruit human resource as some absorb trainess into their workforce after they graduate. These develop students’ professional and practical skills, encouraging them to apply skills and knowledge acquired though study in a real life environment. Students are placed with an employer to work on research project or undertake work experience under the guidance of industry and academic supervision, generally for four(4)-six(6) months throughout the UiTM semester.
The objectives of industrial training at Legal Department Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) are to refine their skill knowledge, encouraging them to apply skills and knowledge acquired through study in a real life environment, to expose student about the new knowledge and the new technology in the market, to enhance the
knowledge and skill of the student, to train future employees and consider offering such training programs as their corporate social responsibility.
As a student of industrial training, the role and the responsibility during the period of the trainings, I need to comply with all the rules and regulations and follow the working time in the organization on the same way of the other staff. Internship student are required to attend any programs such as seminar, workshop, or any activities that organize by their organization. The student itself has to perform well and practice any related work that they already learnt in UiTM. Besides, the industrial training programme should be taken seriously to ensure that the students are obtained the benefit in order to increase the marketability and employability of UiTM graduates.
