At the start of this program it seemed like it was going to be really really hard to learn and be able to do anything with. I have slowly been watching videos to learn the different tools and buttons and ways to form levels and objects. Having a computer with a really bad graphics card does not help much so it limits what I am able to produce in size and detail. Some of the most important tools and ways to navigate though the program are by using your left mouse button to turns you around in a 180 degrees and move you forward and the right mouse button turns you 360 degrees like a ball movement. When you click both of them together you go side to side and up and down. I have been working on how to form a base to walk on for my level and how to make objects to go in them I understand most of it but whenever I get really far UDK shuts down cuz the video memory could not handle it. But never the less I was able to build a basic plat form that I can run around on a shoot people with. The tools are not that hard to use what makes it hard to work with is the fact that there are a lot of tools and there might even be more then one tool that can do the same thing it just depends on what you want to do and if the tool will work for the object you are working on. There are 3 different things you can do to a object to shape it you can move it in all different directions or stretch it or compress it or even shift it. You can also turn you object in different angles to face the right way. This program over all I think might be a lot of fun but I would just need time to figure out all the tools and be able to come up with level ideas.
