Volvo Trucks is a global Truck manufacturer based in Sweden, owned by Volvo Group- AB Volvo ,it is the world's Second largest heavy duty Truck Brand. The engines are made in the town of Skovde, Sweden . Among some smaller facilities Volvo has assembly plants in Sweden (Gothenburg - also the Head Office), Belgium, USA, Brazil, South Africa, Australia, China, India and Russia, making it a truly global producer. Some of the smaller factories are jointly owned. Its main parts distribution centre is located in Gent Belgium. The sales side is split into three areas - Europe Middle East, Americas and Asia Pacific The offices and dealers are set up worldwide in Europe, North America, Latin America, Africa and Middle East, Asia and Pacific.

As a part of environmental approach Volvo Trucks have focused on making sure that production methods, factories and transports to and from the plants are continuously improved regarding the environmental impact. Volvo Trucks were the first company to build a CO2 neutral factory, cab plant in Umeå has the lowest solvent emissions in our industry and working to establish more CO2 neutral dealers. Over the next few years Volvo Trucks will expand this work globally to cover as much of the production as possible. They are Currently building the Second Engine Production Plant in Pitampur, India

Functional Integration
Volvo as being a Multinational Organisation, produces in India in a Global Arena. It Engines are being manufactured in Sweden, Tyres in Indonesia and rest of the parts comes from most parts if India. Suppliers are being made part of the organisation and the logistics activities are performed by Volvo Logistics, a subsidiary of Volvo AB. The Reverse Outbound is also performed by Volvo Logistics but with the assistance of Volvo Parts, designed specifically for Volvo automobiles and Trucks for after sales Repairs and Service.
Sectorial Integration
Knowledge Management in Volvo Trucks is Exquisite. The Suppliers and Dealers are updated adequately by meetings and Get together. The Coordination between the Supplies are maintained by the information systems team in Volvo. The information systems coordination is maintained by Volvo Trucks by another subsidiary organisation known as Volvo Informations. Volvo Informations carry on the integration of suppliers and the various supplier related activities. The organisation also carries the Data flows of Volvo trucks from the suppliers towards the Customer in Forward Flow and also maintains the Reverse flow of delivery from the Customer towards the supplier.
Geographical Integration
The integration if Logistics in Geographic sector in Volvo is specialised by a group known as Volvo 3P. The Specialised expert team carries on the Product purchasing, Product planning and Procurement. They conduct Research in Planning and procurement and make adequate changes in the Truck designing and manufacturing. Volvo 3P has its Hub in Five parts of the Globe each in a Continent. They Integrate the Supplier delivery for Volvo truck by integrating with the Volvo Logistics and Volvo Informations.
