I wonder why long-run traditional custom breaks down. This ritual experiences thousands of years. Brides and grooms always wear almost red suits and same traditional steps like making a tea for parents. However, in influencing by western culture, it revolutionized the way in which people think custom. I am sure that such an earthshaking change must have far- reaching effects. Even so, the wedding is still a same process,which boys turn into husbands and men or girls become wife and women. The new Chinese wedding of with modern consciousness makes the society and Chinese people more and initiative and efficient, but it loses Chinese traditional characteristics of modern wedding.
Wedding is not only concerned as the most important thing in China, as most countries in the world. Although there is no religious rule to follow for wedding, it needs to invite all relatives and friends to come for witness. In traditional ways, the groom should pick the bride up from bride's home then drive her back his own home. It means that the bride is becoming a new family member in groom's family rather that a daughter for his parents. There is an old saying that if you marry a daughter, she is like a poured water, never come back. Also, marring a daughter should prepare a dowry as similar as some countries. The quality of bride's life in her husband's home depends on how much dowry her parents prepare. Moreover, girls always cannot decide who is her husband but her parents can.
