1.0 Introduction

In this introductory section, what can person do to become an effective communicator in a diversity workplace within China will be set out as primary information for better understandings. The originality of this research is also stated in the problem statement as a rationale behind this survey. Finally, the objective of this research will be developed.

1.1 Effective communicators within Chinese diversity workplace

A communicator in Chinese diversity workplace was being concerned to have improvement in the report of the what can person do to become an effective communicator in diversity workplace within China

The communicator in diversity workplace can be improved by knowing more about aspects of misunderstanding in communications

This clearly suggested that people in diversity workplace is necessarily to find out the root cause of barriers in communications.

a) Current situation in Chinese diversity workplace

In terms of race, there is very little in Chinese business compared with other countries. With the space of world's economy, China has joint WTO (World Trade Organizations); there is a dramatic increase in foreigners working in China. However, diversity is not limited to just race or ethnic background, which is what most people think diversity is. Diversity also includes different cultures, backgrounds, lifestyle, personality and basic anything different. At beginning, most of diversity in Chinese workplace comes from the difference region in which each worker is from. Some of major region in China are Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, while workplace in China now has become more diversity than 10 years ago.

b) The importance of being an effective communicator in diversity workplace

The changing environment and increasing complexity of the 21st century workplace in China make communication even more important. Good communication matters because business organizations are made up of people. As Robert Kent, former dean of Harvard Business School has said, "In business, communication is everything."

Bringing diversity into an organization is a good way to attract the best talent in the field. It also allows the organization to expand broad enough to survive in current multinational world. However, diversity can be a disaster if the relationship among people in the workforce is not managed well. When people with diverse background work together, it tends to create a lot of conflicts. Thus, mastering the skills to communicate with diverse culture audience is very important. Effective communication is one of the most powerful skills an entrepreneur can master to guarantee success.

1.2 Problem statement

Communications in workplace are currently berried from diversity workforces. Diversity is considered to be a major influential factor since more and more foreigners of different nationalities work together in the same workplace.

In order to overcome this problem, the current weaknesses must be found out. This research is therefore aimed at identifying the major aspects influencing the communications in Chinese diversity workplace and finding a way to solve this problem.

1.3 Research objective

Aim of research: To identify the problems existing in speaking with diversity workplace and give measures to how to become an effective communicators in this surroundings.

Objective:

1. To identify the possible influencing factors becoming an effective communicators in diversity workplace within China

2. To collect data of aspects existing in communicating by sending questionnaire to a multinational company.

3. To rank the data and discuss the top 3 problems of diversity workplace in China.
