What strategy did you use and how did you evaluate the progress?
I tried a few different strategies in order to get a solution that would actually work. It seemed as if information retrival wouldn't work, since I had no prior memories to go by. Trial and Error was used, but I figured out that the animals would need assistance, any which way I tried. I tried to think of options, and see what the possible results would be. I think I was using the the sub-goal strategy since I was taking the steps to achieve the results I was looking to accomplish. I wanted to think of all the different ways to get the animals across without the possibility of getting any of the animals eaten. After figuring out that the cat and the mouse cannot be together, and the dog and the cat can't be together, I needed a way to keep them separate, but get all the animals safely over was the ultimate goal. I needed to take the cat across first, then go back for the dog. After taking the dog across safely, I needed to take the cat back in order the keep the dog from eating the cat. I needed to pick up the mouse, and drop off the cat. Dropping off the mouse and finally returning for the cat.
