Why Schools Suck

Schools suck because they make you feel stupid by testing you giving you a grade on the work you do. They grade you based on a genius taking tests setting standards for everyone. They don't get the fact that people learn at different rates so they think that if you get a D you are a slacker they never stop to think that it might be the teacher who is lacking in the good teaching skills. I have many times been the kid held after class to talk to the teacher because they think I'm retarded or something when I'm getting a C which is the state average if not higher. I would try to explain to the, that I just need some help understanding a few things. So they send me to the counselor to talk about my feelings, doesn't go over well because they are all retarded. So I strongly disagree that the state can force kids to go to school until they are a junior. What if they want to go into acting? Then they have no need to learn calculus right? Well not in the eyes of the state, they believe that everyone wants to go to college to be an engineer or doctor but they are sadly mistaken. Then to make things worse the grades are sent to your parents to embarrass you even more. Also there is the popularity effect of kids. If you don't have the latest clothes or gadgets your not cool enough to go to certain parties or sit at the cool tables with the cool kids. And how do kids get in there minds that they are better than some one else because of what their parents do? It's really dumb the things that go on in America's high schools.
