Australia Case

Australia's agriculture consists of: Wheat, Sorghum, Cottonseed, Oats, Lupids, Peas, Chickpeas, Lentils, Sunflower Seed, Canola, and Barley. Mining, agriculture, and tourism are part of Australia's major industries. Australia exports coal, iron ores, tin ores, wool, beef, barley, and raw sugar. Australia imports manufactured goods. Australia is not part of the European Union. Australia's currency comes in coins and dollars.

Australia's religion is Christianity. Australia's language is English. Australians love to cook food on the "Barbie"(barbeque), like seafood and meat. They love lamb too. Here are Australia's holidays: New Year's Day on January 1, Australia Day on January 26, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day on April 25, Christmas Day on December 25, and Boxing Day on December 26. One of their sports is Australian Rules Football.(It's kind of like soccer and rugby mixed together into one game.) Australians make music with an instrument called a didgeridoo. Funny name, huh?

Australia's form of government is a constitutional monarchy. Julia Gillard is the current leader of Australia. She took office June 24, 2010. She became Prime Minister when Kevin Rudd stepped down. 21,874,900 is Australia's population.

Doing this project I learned Australia is about as big as the USA. I learned the Physical Features of Australia. I learned about Australia's Economy. I learned about the Culture of Australia. I learned about Australia's Government. And more! I think Australia is a very beautiful country and continent. I hope to visit there someday. I want to hold a baby wombat and a baby koala. Australia is one of the most interesting countries/continents in the world.
