How to mend a broken heart? Honestly only you can answer that question, but after reading this, it should help you. When your in a broken relationship and you know it's not going anywhere then you should get out of it now, because sometimes the worst thing you can do is break your own heart. Things you can do to help mend a broken heart is family and friends, changing your thought process, and not getting back together with your ex. Why should you let yourself be in misery, when all it takes is a few steps to heal your "broken heart". Having your heart broken is a painful experience that everyone is going to go through at least once in their lifetime, but it's the one's who stay strong and stay focused on the present that will go through it faster.

Even though it takes time to mend a broken heart, having and being with ones that truly love you makes it a little easier. By going out to a movie, walking the beach, or even just watching movies at the house, gives you time to relax and meditate. Interacting with people, lets you be yourself and lets you continue to keep people close, and makes the time go by quicker when trying to heal a broken heart. By talking to your family and friends about your feelings, it gets the feelings out so that you won't hold anything inside. Remember, not to isolate yourself from people, its hard enough feeling alone because you and your boyfriend/girlfriend just broke up; the more isolated you are the harder it will be to heal. Family and friends are here to love, care, and show us that no matter what we always have someone to rely on.

Changing your thought process can be another big step in mending a broken heart. Be realistic and true to yourself, because it will help you feel better now, and it will encourage you to seek happiness and will allow you to pursue your goals. Make a commitment to yourself, even though it was you and your lover's decision to end the relationship, it is up to you to cover the pain. Giving yourself unconditional self-acceptance means stop blaming yourself for the break up, we all have faults; and not one of us is perfect. Stop thinking that life is over, good things happen to bad people just like bad things happen to good people. Cry because its okay to cry over a loss, and let the tears roll down; crying is like cleansing your pain. Setting goals is another way to mend a broken heart, but you also have to have the patience and a determined mind to make it happen. You need to commit yourself to finding your own happiness and fulfillment of life and love.

Getting over your ex? I know personally is easier said than done, but in order for you to heal the broken heart, you need to let go of the past. One necessity of moving on is getting rid of or putting away everything that reminds you of the relationship, for example, pictures. You need to stay away from your ex and not get back with him, it ended for a reason right? So why put yourself
