Clinical Gestalt

When my father was alive we were all going to church and in a spiritual family unit with values in belief plus trying to help people as we were raised to do. My values are very strong in honesty, compassion, as well as doing right to other people. A will to lend a hand to individuals with less opportune then myself, however that is from time to time harder to do than it seems. It's harder to help those who don't or do not accept the help. I think this need plus my viewpoints and motivation will seriously assist me in my profession to supply assistance to a many people from all walks of life.

My experiences

My knowledge as a young person among my family getting aid from associates, relatives along with our neighbors, they all were a great help in our lives. You form a high opinion for individuals who step up and assist somebody in hardship; above all in return they do not expect or want anything back. I believe this is what makes me want to help others out the most. While compassion is given away to you, one wants to return the favor to someone who maybe in need. This feeling is overwhelming and your difficulty or position you may be in feels like it has been lifted because of a total stranger helping you out.

Childhood

While growing up we did not have much money or food, but we did have both of our parents (till I was 6 ½, then my father passed away) and five children in a loving family which gave me strength to care for my family. My family members are very supportive and encouraging. Their beliefs plus their morals put them at a distance from various other relations, but this gives me the strength to fight my own difficulties that I have. I know I am a better person and parent because of what our parents instilled in us as children.

Helping Others. Helping others gives me immense happiness however, it moves forward with boundaries. It is going to be hard for me to work with people that have been accused of being abusive, for instance: husband/wife abuse, child abuse/neglect, which would be real hard for me. My ex- husband was a drug addict furthermore was violent all through his use drugs so this is very personal for me. This maybe easier for me to deal with because I have been through many things with him, and am hoping that it will be not as difficult to assist the person that was abused. It will take me sometime to help them, but with time this person will to be able to heal.

Since my last child, I tend to treat my pets as family members. My last one is only sixteen, (almost seventeen and spoiled) I want her to know that life isn't always fair, and that sometimes we have to take the good with the bad. I do not give to her like her father does. He finally understands now what I have been saying for years, stop buying her everything because when she gets older things
