Bullies

There was a young girl around 12 years old. Most kids don't like her very much. She has a feeling that there is something about her that bothers other kids. She doesn't know exactly what it is. She thinks that if she smiles at them, if she laughs at their jokes, and if she makes a point to be really nice to them, then they'll see her effort and be friends with her.

These other kids laugh at her a lot, sometimes she knows why but, most of the time she don't. The girl starts thinking that maybe she shouldn't talk about things she likes, but sometimes she just can't help it. Kids run into her in the hall. The girl tries to be careful to not run into them, thinking it was her fault it happened in the first place. Then she realizes that they are trying to hit her on purpose. She always tries to be nice to them. They just laugh at her like she was joking even though she really wasn't.

Well she soon figures out that they are doing this to her because they like seeing her feelings get hurt and see her hurting inside. After all the pranks they have done; she realizes she is nothing like them. She starts to think about the videos you have watched at school and realize that is her. She thinks to herself; I am the one being bullied.

She thinks that if she goes to the principal, the other kids will make it harder on her to move on past this battle against bullies. She tries to avoid getting beat up by all these bullies and move on but nothing works.

There isn't anyone she can talk to because nobody believes her and nobody will take the time to listen to how she feels. Every time she walks down the hall, either someone trips her, laughs at her, runs into her, or they tell her how bad of a person she is. She then starts to think of an easy way out. Her thoughts are to run away or even death. These kids make her not want to exist anymore. So tell me what do you do a situation where nobody will hear your cries for help?

This young girl was me. It is hard when you think you have nobody to turn when you need someone the most. The doubts that run through your mind can hinder your decisions you need to make in your life. I finally opened up to my parents and got the help I needed. I want everyone to be aware of bullying and the effects it can have on a child.
