Another characteristic to consider is cultural background. In the business world, people work with others that have different lifestyle and backgrounds. Every company is surrounded by different attitudes, belief, and values that compose a diversified organization. Characteristics such as cultural background, is important because different cultures has different customs and any breach in these customs can be construed as rude and the presenter might loose that sector of the audience if not careful. In such a diverse group for the given audience the presenter should identify their goal, understand the focal point of the meeting, identify the audience, structure the message by grabbing everyone's attention with the first sentence, and keep the group interested professionally. The group of managers needs to hear the information about the company sales so that they can determine how well the company is progressing. The last group which is the stakeholders, are interested in how their money and investments are doing.

Business and individuals face ethical dilemmas on a regular. The words ethical and moral are often considered as being one in the same, but in some aspect, the two have different meanings and they both a very important role in how people conduct business. While something may be ethical or legal, it may conflict with one's personal beliefs and morals.
