In order to stay away from cardiovascular diseases you must factor in these suggestions to your everyday life, change your diet, supplement wisely, lose weight, get more exercise, and avoid tobacco smoke. All of those five factors are essential to good cardio health. If you consume what is called risk- increasing foods and beverages in your diet your risk for cardiovascular disease increases dramatically. Risk-increasing foods are high in sugar and saturated fats.
By taking risk-reducing consumption patterns the risk of disease in reduced, risk-reducing foods have lots of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. With these foods and regular exercise and an over-all healthy lifestyle the end results will be an increased lifespan. Also a half of a million Americans die from cancer each year and 8.4 million Americans alive today have suffered from or currently suffer from cancer. This is why finding a cure for cancer should be the nation's highest priority.
There are ways of treating cancer, but there is not permanent cure of it. Treatments include surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. There are many side effects of these treatments though. It depends on where the cancer was in the body to what side effects one might have. The side effects of the therapy are very serious. They include skin changes, fatigue, nausea and vomiting, hair loss, or problems with memory and thought processes. Most side effects go away in time. Our biggest priority should be finding a cure for cancer. This would unite the best minds and the most forward-looking research in the fight against cancer, and open a way for better prevention strategies, earlier diagnostic techniques, and new anticancer drugs and treatments.
In conclusion cardiovascular disease is not a consequence of aging. It can be prevented through proper nutrition, prudent supplementation, regular exercise, and avoidance of risk-related factors. Cancer can be prevented by going to regular checkups with your doctor and watching what you do from now on. By choosing to uphold a healthy lifestyle you are actually choosing to live a longer more enjoyable life.
