I have always wanted to be an architect since I was 5 years old. I guess it started as I would build things and organized things all the time. My mom would shake her head at me because I would organize all my toys from end to end and sometimes my mom would try to fool me and rearrange some of my things and she would be amazed that I always knew which ones she would switch around. I would spend hours building bridges, building and houses, and cars. Until last year I would have said I want to be an architect, but due to the down turn in the economy I feel a need to broaden my focus so I have more options for employment after I get my degree. Last year I shadowed some engineers and really decided to open my options to both architecture and engineering. I am looking at both mechanical engineering and possibly architectural engineering. However, this past summer I visited some colleges and was introduced to Nanotechnology and would like to explore that area of study also. So between the three I hope to decide on one of those areas. My main focus is to design how things should look in any of these three areas. Academically I am tenth in my class and have been on the honor roll and principals list at my high school for all four years. I excel in sports and have been a leader and good role model to younger students. I have participated in three varsity sports all through high school. I have played football, basketball, and tennis in my high school career. I have many awards and honors from playing the three sports. But my dream is to hopefully play Division I football and be the best I can be. I am dedicated and driven to be successful in everything I do. I hope to be successful at Drexel University when I am accepted there.
