Implications for career choice
2.1 Justifications for career choice
According the results of the four tests, recommendations, analysis and my employment propensity, i think that my future career is suitable to do banking and financial industry.
2.2 Importance of career and industry
Banking is very important for any country. In the modern, time and money is very important. Bank can provide valuable services to a country, it can ensure to development financial system of the country. Bank is an important role in the socio economic matters of the country (CV, 2015).
2.3 My career path
In my career path, I decide to be a clerk in the group customer services centre first. After the three years, i want to be a relationship manager. After eight or ten years, when i have enough life experience and working experience, i want to be a senior treasury product manager.

2.4 Three jobs duties and job requirements
2.4.1 Entry level- Clerk
When i graduated the top up degree, i want to be a clerk in the group customer services centre. The job duties are provide the high quality cash management services to the customer, according to segmented services model. Also, the clerk needs to finish the account maintenance of Corporate Banking Services Online and execute the cash management projects. The relationship between the customer and bank are very important, so the clerk need to provide tailor-made and one-stop quality services to meet the customer’s needs
Moreover, the basic requirements of this job are diploma holder or above and adept in MS office applications. Also, the job work under the pressure, so the clerk must efficient and accurate processing the work. Good spoken and written English and Chinese are needed in the job.
2.4.2 Middle level-Relationship Manager
After three to five years, when I have enough working experience in the bank, I want to be a relationship manager. The job duties are provide the cross selling banking services and products to the clients. This job needs to strengthen, expand and protect the relationships between the existing customers. Moreover, relationship manager must achieve business targets and have sound credit risk management for the clients.
On the other hand, the requirements of this job are that at least 3 years’ experience in corporate banking. Also, the job needs to have a good credit analysis and marketing skills. The relationship manager needs to face and communicate with clients, so they need to have a good interpersonal and communication skill. Good command of both written and spoken English, Chinese and Putonghua are needed in this job.
2.4.3. Senior level- Senior Treasury Product Manager
I hope to be a senior treasury product manager in eight to ten years. The job needs a lot of work experience and experience of life. The job duties are develop treasury products and business strategies to face the market environment and client needs. Moreover, the senior treasury product manager needs to explore and improve efficient sales process and distribution platform for successive business growth.
On the other hand, the requirements of this job are that at least eight to ten years relevant working experience in banking industry and must have HKSI LE Paper 1 & 4 or equivalent. Also, this job needs to have a good organization and communication skills, such as good spoken and written English and Chinese, Putonghua.
2.5 Transferable skills and Specific skills
2.5.1 What are transferable skills and specific skills?
Transferable skills are skills and abilities that you can use in your next job or new career. Transferable skills are portable skills. You can get these skills through different jobs, volunteer work, hobbies and other life experience. Transferable skills are important and useful to career changers and new graduates, etc. (McKay, 2015)
On the other hand, specific skills are means that the skills can enable a candidate for employment to excel in a special job. Some skills can learn by attending school or training programs. Others skills can get through work experience learning. Specific skills can be compared with transferable skills. For example, communication, organization, presentation, teamwork which is needed in a broad array of jobs (Doyle, n.d.).
2.5.2 My transferable skills

I think that i possess these transferable skills, it can useful and help me to solve the problems in my future career. For example, I think that i have leadership skills, ability to work in teams and problem solving skills. For example, when i am study in the higher diploma programs, i need to face many group projects. That means I need to do the project with my group mates. When i form the group with my group mates, i usually divide the work to lead my group mate to finish the project. Also, if my group mates have any problems about the project, will try to answer them and help them to finish their work, so I think that I have leadership skills, ability to work in teams and problem solving skills.
Moreover, I have a numeracy skills and time management. I am study business, accounting and financial studies in secondary school. In the BAFS course, i need to do account and process a lot of digital. A lot of BAFS homework is about the digital and numeracy. The course helps me to increase my numeracy skills. Also, I am good at time management. I like to make a time schedule to help me remember and remind something. Making a time schedule can help me learning effectively and reduce be late. When i meeting with my friends, i rarely late. My friend complimented me punctual.
